Parents

Are parents encouraged to support the school?

Yes, very much so! To help achieve this aim we have created a Parent/Teacher Association. This is affiliated to the National Confederation of Parent Teachers, and all parents and teachers are members. In addition, past parents, grandparents, ancillary staff, governors and friends are welcomed.

The object of the Association is to help provide facilities which will enhance the education of the pupils at the school. It aims to foster effective relationships between all who are connected with the school and engage in activities which will support the school and advance the education of its pupils

The Association aims to arrange fundraising and social activities throughout the year with monies raised being spent according to the needs of the school.

Are parents welcomed into school to help voluntarily?

We are always grateful to parents who are able to help in school, and many find it satisfying to spend a few hours either on a regular or on an occasional basis. There is a booklet available in school offering advice and guidance in this aspect of voluntary work. All voluntary helpers need to complete a Police CRB check – forms are available from the School Office.

Where can I obtain more information?

We are, of course, only able to give a very limited amount of information in this prospectus. Please feel free to ask a member of staff in the office if you require fuller information on either practical arrangements or on the school’s curriculum.

Parents are welcome to come into school by prior appointment in order to view our formal written policies and documents. These might include the latest OFSTED report, schemes of work and both curriculum and more general policies.

All the information contained within this Prospectus was correct at the time of printing. Whilst every endeavour will be made to keep this document up-to-date, changes may have occurred since its publication.
