Year 6 - DT: Anderson Shelter Models

6 Sapphire have been designing and making educational models to explain the purpose and design of Anderson shelters during WW2. We first designed the models and planned out the materials we would use. We included measurements on our design too, this was so we could make the most of the materials we had. We then used our maths skills to measure and mark out the wood accurately and then used the bench hooks and saws to safely cut the wood, before putting it together using a glue gun. This will make the inner frame for our shelters. We look forward to sharing the finished result with you soon.
