Year 6 - WWII Immersion Day

During our World War Two day, the Year 6 teachers were extremely impressed with the children’s engagement and enthusiasm. All of the children looked amazing in their costumes. The Teachers have thoroughly enjoyed teaching this topic for a whole term and it was clear that the children did too; some of the knowledge and understanding that they were able to demonstrate during this day was immense. The children attempted some code breaking and learnt about the work that was done at Bletchley Park, created public service announcements regarding air raid safety and experienced what it would have been like for an evacuee meeting a billeting officer. The photos below show how much fun was had on the day.
